William J. "Bill", 55, of Anchorage passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 5, 2013.

He was born August 13, 1957 in Louisville, the son of the late William J. Bruenderman, Sr. and Pauline Greenwell Bruenderman and was a member of Middletown United Methodist Church, where he and his wife formerly taught Sunday school together.

Bill was the owner of Bruenderman Construction and Remodeling, which he started at age 19. He was a member of the Remodelers Association, received the "Remodeler of the Year" award, and participated in Habitat for Humanity.

Bill was very active in his children's lives, coaching and sponsoring soccer and basketball teams and supporting the Douglass Hills Swim and Dive team. Bill was an avid biker and participated in marathons and mini-marathon for the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society "Team in Training".

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a brother, Wayne, and his father-in-law, Bob Farrar.

Bill is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Robin Kay (Farrar) Gamez; four children, William "Dane", Brock, Madison, and Barrett; brothers and sisters,
Betty Grzemkowski (Phil), Jeanne, Paul, Trish Martin (Mike), Bob (Brenda) and Mark (Annette). He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Sandy Farrar; brothers-in-law, Brad and Michael (Becky) Farrar; sister-in-law, Nancy Parker (Larry); two loving four-legged children, Sammy and Callie, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 9th at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 7813 Shelbyville Road. Visitation will be prior to Mass, starting at 9:00 a.m. at the church. Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, East Louisville was entrusted with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to an education fund which has been set up for the joy of Bill's life, his young son Dane Bruenderman, at JP Morgan Chase Bank, 12016 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, KY 40243.
