Thomas William, Sr., 92 of Louisville, passed away peacefully Friday, August 23.

He was a WWII veteran and retired after 34 years from his State Farm Agency. Tom was a devout Catholic, member of the Community of Epiphany, the St. X Athletic Hall of Fame and was Captain of the 1941 National Catholic Basketball Championship Team, and the Musicians Union. He was an avid golfer, bowler, and tennis player.

Most important to Tom were his Faith and love for his family.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 71 years, Lois and children, Judy Oser, Linda Smith (Maurice), Barbara Romanoff, Thomas Giesler, Jr. (Ellen), Beth Baker (Carl), Donna Shaughnessy, Julie Curtis (Brad); 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Tom's special caretakers at the Forum.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 28 at Epiphany, 914 Old Harrods Creek Road with private burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, East Louisville.
