Sondra L. "Sandy", 68,of Prospect passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 21, 2013.

She was born June 21, 1944, the daughter of the late Charles D. Clayton and Delores Imogene Douglas Clayton and was an Apartment Manager for several companies. Sandy was a former member of the Fillies Club, loved to work in her yard, be out doors with family and friends at the lake or the beach and loved to entertain. Most important of all she was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother and a friend to all, she will be greatly missed.

Sandy is survived by her husband of 52 years, David G. Applegate; children, Jane Weis (Kevin), Rebecca Bailey and John (Kim) Applegate; grandchildren, Chris (Hannah) Bailey, Blake Applegate, Victoria Weis, Shelby Applegate and Mallorie Weis. She also leaves behind her two brothers, Dennis and Duane Clayton.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Ratterman's, 12900 Shelbyville Road, East Louisville with private burial at a later date. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and after 11 a.m. on Tuesday until time of service.
