ZOELLER, MICHAEL "MIKE," DAVID, 52, passed away July 4, 2013, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Clemmons, NC after a bravely fought battle with cancer.

Mike was born and raised in Louisville where he attended Bishop David High School, class of 1979. He graduated from Murray State University and had a long and prosperous career in the Consumer Brands Industry. Most recently, he was a Regional Sales Manager at the Schwan Food Company.

Mike was a friend to all he met, and a champion of others: always bringing out the best in his family, his friends, and his coworkers. He enjoyed golf immensely, was a member of the MGA at Salem Glenn Golf Course, and had the opportunity to get his first hole in one in 2011. Mike was an avid University of Kentucky Wildcats fan and loved the Green Bay Packers; making several trips a year to watch them play at home and away.

Mike was happiest on the golf course, on the water, or entertaining friends and family grilling his famous wings. He was always at the ready with words of encouragement and his can-do attitude was contagious. He bravely fought his disease with honor and integrity. His love and respect for others was apparent and will be missed.

He was preceded in death by his loving Mother, Vicki Zoeller.

Mike leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Jennifer Zoeller; daughters, Kaycee Zoeller and Amaya Zoeller; son, Chad Pfiefer (Katie); his father, Gerald "Jerry" Zoeller; sisters, Melissa O'Bryan (Donald) and Michele Fussenegger (Bernie); two grandsons, Callum Zoeller and Landon Pfiefer; and several nieces and nephews.

The celebration of his life will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at St. Aloysious Catholic Church, 212 Mt. Mercy Drive in Pewee Valley. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Rd., East Louisville with burial to follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery.

Contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
