Michael John, 40, of Louisville passed away Thursday January 31st, 2013 at his home with his family by his side.

He was a graduate of Ball State University, sales manager for Sunrise Technology Systems Inc., a member of St. Aloysius Parish and Men's Club, the 2011 Employee of the Year for the Kentucky Restaurant Association, a member of the River City Radio Controllers of Kentucky, an avid golfer and was most proud of being a father and husband.

Michael was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer in 2009 and bravely battled with the support and compassionate care of Jewish Hospital Medical Center Northeast, Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center, Norton Cancer Institute and HOSPARUS of Louisville. He was blessed with three and a half beautiful years with his family and friends.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Tammy Tyillian McDill, daughter, Sydney Rose McDill, son, Trevor Michael McDill, sisters, Susan Drechsler (Brian) and Julie Becher (Graham), parents, John and Arlene McDill, grandmother, Florence Myers, and Michael's father and mother -in-law, Kerney and Maureen Tyillian, and brother-in-law, Todd Tyillian.

His funeral mass will be 10:00am Tuesday February 5th, 2013 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church
212 Mt. Mercy Ave.
PeWee Valley, KY.

Visitation will be 1 to 4 Sunday February 3rd, 2013 and 4 until 8pm Monday February 4th, 2013 at Ratterman 12900 Shelbyville Rd. East Louisville.
