WIMSATT,
Mark S., 62 of Finchville passed away Wednesday January 23, 2013 at Baptist Hospital East with his family by his side.

Mark was the oldest of five children to Paula and Frank Wimsatt, and called the Louisville area home his entire life. He was a graduate of St. Xavier High School ('68) and the University of Kentucky (Accounting '72). In 1974, he partnered with his father and opened Bluegrass Lumber Company. He ran the company through his father's death and until its closure in 2009.
Mark was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Taylorsville.

He was preceded in death by his father, business partner and best friend, Frank Wimsatt, and a very close aunt, Nell, who he guided through her later years.

Mark is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Terri; his two children, Jessica Green (Jace) and Christopher (Mekensie); his mother, Paula; his siblings, Michael (Karen), Peter (Jane), Paula Ecton (David), and Richard (Nancy) as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

As he battled leukemia, Mark became very close to his wonderful doctors, nurses and caregivers, including those at Baptist Hospital East and the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. The family extends their gratitude to all of them.

Mark's Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes, 508 Breckenridge Lane, with visitation from 2 - 8 p.m. Friday at Ratterman's, 12900 Shelbyville Rd. East Louisville.
