Linda Murray Goins age 76, of New Boston, Ohio, formerly of Middletown , Ky, died Wednesday, September 11th, 2013.
She was born in Phoenix , Arizona on July 15, 1937, a daughter of the late Clifford and Mary Buckler of Middletown , Ky. She was married to Oscar Goins Sr. who preceded her in death in May 1982. She was also preceded in death by a brother Buddy Wright and her grandparents Hobert and Florence Campbell.
Linda worked for several years at the Kentucky Children's Home as an Administrative Secretary. After the death of her husband in 1982, Linda went into missionary work as a Volunteer with the Southern Baptist Convention where she helped spread God's messages and God's work to the people in need who she came into contact with. Linda served the Lord in Montana for several years working on the American Native Reservations. Linda also served the Lord in Michigan , Maryland and Kentucky . Before retiring in 2005, Linda served the Lord at the Techwood Baptist Center (now known as Terry Moncrief Baptist Center ) for eight years in downtown Atlanta , Georgia , where she worked with the adult educational programs and health clinic. Out of all of her years in missionary work, Linda most enjoyed and loved her time at the Techwood Baptist Center where she was loved by all who worked with her and was helped by her.
Linda is survived two sons, Oscar Jr. (Brenda) Goins of Quinton, New Jersey and Steve (Susan) Goins of New Boston, Ohio. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Christopher Goins of New Boston, Ohio, Erica (Jason) McMullen of Mullica Hill, New Jersey, Kasey (Adam)Raduszewski of Pennsville, New Jersey , Marlee Goins of Quinton, New Jersey . Also four great grandchildren, Katie McMullen, Cole and Adam and Lynzy Raduszewski.

The family of Linda would like to thank the Nurses and Staff Members of Heartland of Portsmouth and the Nurses and Staff of SOMC Hospice for their wonderful loving care and kindness to our Mother.
Funeral Services will be conducted by Rattermans Funeral Home 12900 Shelbyville Rd. East Louisville, KY. 12:30pm Saturday September 21st, 2013 with burial to follow in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery .
Visitation will be 5 to 8 Friday at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, monetary donation can be made to SOMC
Hospice Center at 2203 25th Street Portsmouth , Ohio 45662 or to the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at 13800 Aiken Rd. Middletown , Ky.
