James "Pop" Garnett Larimore, 94, passed away Friday March 22 at the Forum at Brookside Healthcare.

He retired from Construction Management with the Army Corps of Engineers after many years. After retirement from the Corps, he worked for Humana for 10 years in the area of new construction.

Jim was a member of Crescent Hill Baptist Church. He is predeceased by his parents, Kathrine Hart and J. Garnett Larimore and a sister, Suzanne. Also, his wife of 50 years, Helen "Honey" Rommel Larimore and his second wife, Thelma "Peggy" Thomas Larimore.

He is survived by his sons, J. Stephen Larimore (Sharon) and Phil G. Larimore (Jocelyn). Also, his grandchildren, J. Gregory Larimore (Jennnifer), Christi Cowgill (Pat), Kim Rippeteau (Jay) and Brian (Bo) Larimore.
His great grandchildren, Devin Brierly, Mason Larimore, Grant Larimore, Ethan Cowgill, Adam Cowgill, Roman Rippeteau, Rhett Rippeteau, and Raif Rippeteau.

The family would like to sincerely thank all of those at the Forum who provided loving care and kindness to him during his many happy years at the Forum.

There will be a memorial service at The Forum At Brookside on Wednesday March 27 at 2:00PM with visitation before and after the service. There will be a private burial. Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, East Louisville was entrusted with arrangements.
