Carol Jacqueline, 77, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2013 after a long battle with cancer.

She was born on June 20, 1936 in Columbus, OH, the daughter of the late Charles John Rundio, Jr. and Annette Jacqueline Beery Rundio. Carol was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Anchorage, the Order of the Daughters of the King and the Women's Board at the Episcopal Church Home.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles John Rundio, III and William Robert Rundio.

Carol is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Eugene "Gene" Clark Bechtel; daughters, Vicki Lynn Bechtel, Christi Lee (David) Schmidt and Kelly Jean (Mark) Snipes; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Her Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 27 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 1206 Maple Lane, Anchorage with visitation and a reception following in the Parish Hall.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Hosparus for their loving care and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Luke's Episcopal Church, St Jude Children's Research Hospital or Hosparus.
